MEOW FROM GAIL

I’m Gail, the founder and creative director. Originally growing up in London and with Caribbean roots, I now live on the picturesque island of Barbados, home to the Green Monkey, Blackbelly Sheep and of course beautiful beaches. We also have plenty of feral cats and their welfare is dear to me, and others actively involved in animal welfare.

I created this online boutique, from my deep love for cats and a desire to share that passion with fellow enthusiasts. As a small business owner, I’m involved in every step of the design process, ensuring that each product is unique and meaningful for clients.

I’m also a published children’s author, the Editor-in-chief of Animal Talk Magazine  Barbados  and a Seasonal Radio Host on Animal Craze. I’m passionate about animal welfare and serve as a founding member and trustee of a well-known animal charity in Barbados.

At home, I share my space with a charming feline family of five. My former neonatal fosters Bravery and Arista, who I couldn’t bear to part with, and the spirited, Zuri. Ginger, who once came to me as a shy visitor seeking food, found a permanent place in my heart, and Sheba, the eldest, loves our nightly snuggles.

Each cat brings its own quirks and warmth, making my home a sanctuary of love and joy—just like La Cat Connoisseur itself.
